Mint is an amazing medicinal herb!!👇🏻 ✨soothes the GI tract ✨relieves bloating ✨rich in vitamins & minerals ✨is incredibly refreshing Raw mint leaf syrup 🌱 Wash and remove the leaves from the stems. Roughly chop them so they release their aroma. To a jar, layer equal parts of chopped mint leaves and sugar. Add a very generous drizzle of lemon juice (2-3 lemons). Press gently. Close the lid and let it sit in your fridge for 48 to 72 hours. Every day give it a quick mix. You will notice that the mixture slowly starts to liquefy. You will know it’s ready once the sugar dissolves and the syrup turns a light green color. Strain and store in the fridge! Tips: Use white granulated sugar as any other sugar will alter the taste of the mint syrup. If it takes longer to macerate, it’s usually because of too much sugar - I added a little water to help dissolve the sugar. Mint Lemonade 🍋🌱 To big cup, add some ice, the juice of one lemon, some mint leaf syrup and fill with sparkling water. Mix and enjoy:) #mintsyrup #homemadesyrup #mintlemonade
