How too: Start by preheating your oven to 350F In a large bowl combine your butter, sugar and powder sugar. You can mix by hand but if you have a stand, or power mixer it will be easier. Mix until butter and sugar are creamed together. Add in your egg and vanilla and mix again. Add in your flour and mix until a dough forms. It may seem dry at first but keep mixing! Split your dough and add 3/4 to a lined 9x11 baking dish. Press dough until it is flat. Take the other 1/4 of the dough and place it in the refrigerator Bake in the oven on 350F for 40 minutes. While it’s baking make your salted caramel sauce by adding your granulated sugar to a sauce pan on medium heat. Allow this to melt down stirring occasionally. Once your sugar has melted add in your room temperature butter and turn the heat to low. Stir in then add in your room temperature heavy cream and stir until combined. Allow this to heat for 2 minutes add in your flakey salt then immediately remove from the heat and place in a separate bowl. Once your bars have cooked remove from the oven, top with your salted caramel and add the rest of your cookie batter onto in chunks. Place this back in the oven on 350F for 25 minutes. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before enjoying! Enjoy! #recipe #recipeoftheday #dessert #caramel #foodblogger
